Urgent and Emergency Care Centre

All urgent and emergency care is now provided from Rotherham's new purpose built Urgent and Emergency Care Centre which is located on B Level of Rotherham Hospital

The centre will treat anyone with an urgent or emergency care need.

An urgent care need is something which needs immediate care but isn't life or limb threatening such as broken bones, burns and scalds, wounds and minor illnesses including fever, infections and rashes.

An emergency care need is something which is life or limb threatening. This can include things like choking, severe bleeding, chest pains and blacking out.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

Weekdays 6.30pm until 8pm and weekend mornings there are routine GP, ANP, Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointments available at hubs based at Broom Lane, Kimberworth Park, Dinnington and Dalton.

Please ask our receptionists for more details.
